This 67-piece stained glass panel depicts a house cat sitting in a window gazing at the world outside, which is represented by a circle of leaves and surrounding clear glass embedded with flecks of green, orange, and pale yellow. The amber and brown colour scheme was chosen to match the decor of its patron's home (and her cat).
This item is based on the pattern "It's a Cat's Life" from the book Stained Glass Applique: The Simple Fused Way by Brenda Brayfield and Lise Merchant. Thus, the panel has an unusual pedigree, being a stained glass version of a quilt pattern designed to mimic the appearance of a stained glass panel!
